There’s a lot to love about this product, on first use it can appear to be drenched in effects and indeed many of the presets are heavily effected. However, you can alter this to your hearts content, pulling back a shimmering verb or turning it off. You can also turn off sound-sources with the click of the button and strip RSG right back to a very beautiful piano with exceptional tone. It’s a great instrument and one I’m happy I bought. Recommended.”

“I typically prefer to use my DAW’s MIDI editing for making patterns, but Method 1’s approach is quite handy and I often utilize it as is (compared to other built in sequencers). The samples however are what I purchased for and they are excellent!”

“Just checked it out (beta) and the little harmonies and resonances of the notes with the piano AND the pads is brilliant. This is gonna be a hit it really is. Snapshots out of the box are quite solid; Forgotten, Itchy Wool, Still Waters, Quiet Strain are my current favs. The grand piano alone is worth it.”

The sequencer is very intuitive and facilitates ease of editing, duplication, groove, and alternate pattern creation seamlessly. The fact that you can easily create a groove with stock sounds and then quickly scroll through similar samples (i.e. all the other kick/snare sounds) auditioning them in the groove in realtime is a huge time saver. The built-in FX are of high quality and are quick to access, keeping the creative spirit fresh by not getting bogged down with technical details.”

“Whether it’s for film scoring or writing for Underoath, I don’t have another tool that’s as versatile as Collision FX. I love the easy sidechaining, insane reverbs, and with the insane amount of samples included, I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface. Damn.”

“Collision FX it’s been a great tool for me in my cinematic type of compositions, I would say that the vibe I am getting from it it’s more on the darker/futuristic /scary /very hunting/Alien-like /NASA crew stuck in the deep space with a deadly virus type of Sci-Fi/Horror vibe, Collision FX could be great for many cinematic scenarios but IMHO it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted 🙂 if it used with the right images/content, then it will surely give the audience the chill crawling up on their spine while they sitting on the edge of their seat 🙂 creating futuristic, apocalyptic landscapes for an underscore or setting the right mood/vibe with some hunting drones and sound design elements/FX, hard hitting/bone crushing hits for a trailer cue its all there. Sometimes I even layer it up with some other 3rd party VST’s, blend them together to get even more customized combinations of sounds. Collision FX is great. It’s been in my template for a while now, always find something useful and inspiring. There’s just way to much great sounding stuff in there. You’ll have to try it 🙂”
“Bane, is a classic example of modern day thriller music. Works best when entering, investigating and exiting a scene. For full control over the great sounds load your samples into EXS24 now called sampler in Logic. The range is amazing for the price tag and will work well with tv/film, dark techno, underground trap and aleotoric sequences. A must have for quick detailed work. You will enjoy!”

“This is the by far most clear, transparent and well thought out GUI and functionallity I have seen in such a library :-). The LFO section where you can really SEE whats happening, the macros of the performance part all put on x-y pads with visual feedback on whats happening and all with really short, clear explanation that even a noob like me can hide no longer behind, “I don’t know whats happening anyway,” cause here you can clearly SEE whats happening. And of course HEAR what’s happening in direct relationship. And all put into this nice to see and clear interface. Really great job with the engine and interface, as I said, never seen this perfect consistent realization of a concept before where you just feel “at home” :-).”
